I trained as a photographer in the Royal Air Force and served for 12 years, photographing everything from fast jets to Father Christmas, and a few royals and distinguished VIPs on the way. After leaving the RAF I moved into social photography working for the largest photographic studio in East Anglia.
I then moved on to the photographic industry working on new technologies in digital capture and printing, and applications in forensic imaging. I decided it was time to move on and settled in Somerset to pursue my true passion of landscape photography.
The amazing sunsets of the Severn Estuary and the wonderful views across the levels and the rest of Somerset are a constant inspiration. For the last few years I have also been teaching photography through workshops at The Blue Room in Nailsea, which have been very satisfying, and encourages me to re-learn the basics I studied 20 years ago, as well as the new imaging technologies and applications.
